8 Days of Christmas Eye Makeup Tutorials: Day 4

December 27, 2011 by Bun Bun 10 Comments

Have you ever spent a White Christmas?

It was not until my 17th Christmas did I see and touch snow. My family and I were vacationing in Korea and my dad’s Korean friend said it was probably not going to snow that year. We were actually not too disappointed by that as the trip to Muju Island to ski on the mountains was enough to keep us all excited.

On Christmas morning I was the first to wake up and through my half-opened, blurry eyes, saw white flakes descending outside our window. IT SNOWED ON CHRISTMAS MORNING!!! :D GOODNESS! Pure exhilaration filled the room as my two younger brothers, who were only 8 and 9 year-olds then, squealed in delight and jumped around in the room.

It was extremely cold outside but it was so heartwarming to finally be able to extend my hand and have snow flakes falling onto my palm. Yes, I licked them up. :P

At 17 years of age, I wore not a single trace of makeup. There, I just brought this post back to topic. Haha!

So here’s today’s face and silver-blue eye makeup tutorial!

Such a pretty look, and definitely reminiscent of snow! Ive been around snow my whole life but here in Kentucky we don't usually get a lot of it. Last year was one of the worst winters we've had in a long time but it did include a white Christmas! It made my son happy so it made me happy too. I'm not a big fan of snow though, I would rather be on a beach with a frozen drink in my hand!

Thanks Cassie! We don't have snow here, so I made do with some on my eyes. Haha. I agree with what you said in your article. 'The makeup junkie tires of the same thing very easily and likes variety.' VERY TRUE! :D High 5! People who don't have a makeup obsession will never understand why is there a need to own more than 1 foundation product when we only have 1 face. LOL.

This look is SO nice! So colorful yet wearable! You rock blue and purple so well! I've always wanted NYX Morocco, and that lower lash line doesn't make it better :p Oh, and you want to know about my white Christmas? It snowed a lot here in Belgium last December, and from the early morning of the Christmas Eve there was a freakish snow storm which lasted for hours. Nobody could get any last-minute Christmas shopping done in the morning, and a lot of people couldn't make it home because all kinds of traffic were blocked. I had always dreamed about a white Christmas, but after last year I think I'm just fine lol I've never made a snowman though. The house I was living in at that point did have a garden, but the grass was artificial so we couldn't walk on it when it was freezing (otherwise it'd be broken) :p

First..I love your site:) Secondly, I live in Westchester County NY (USA), and last year, we had 3 whole feet of snow! (We've always had snow here ). Every time it snows, its magical-Especially when its untouched. I havent built a snowman in a while, but my daughter and I threw snowballs at her daddy, and made snow angels. I will never get sick of snow. It brings out the kid in me:) The cold doesnt bother me either-You get cold you come back in and make hot chocolate:) . The best part about snow is when it snows late at night. If Its quiet, and if you listen close...you can actually HEAR the snow fall. I love it:)

Woooowww..... envy! envy! Snow makes everything look pure and beautiful. I can't believe you can actually HEAR snow too! When does the snow stop? Does it last right into the next year?

Snow is what rain becomes when the temperature falls below freezing. So the snow lasts for as long as a rain storm (or a drizzle would). Unfortunatly, so far we havent had ANY snow (except for some in Oct..which was not that much). What stinks, is that most people around here hate it. Shoveling, it impedes traffic, etc. I dont care about that. It only happens for a few months each year, and only when its cold enough..so I love it:)

This look definitely reminds me of snow! I was eighteen when I first saw snow. I was in northern Pennsylvania with a girlfriend of mine visiting her grandfather and got to see day old snow on the ground. It really wasn't all that fun considering I only had enough snow to build a snowman that came up to my knee. He was a very short snowman XD I am from a sub-tropical region that really doesn't get all that cold, and it never snows, so I was impressed for only a short time before I wanted to come right back home to my palm trees and sunny days!
