Dupe For Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Zero: Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner Deepest Black… Really?

March 29, 2012 by Bun Bun 9 Comments

That gorgeous blue-teal eyeliner is Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner Blue Remix.

Would you give up a few strands of eyelashes – every single time – in exchange for a bold and black waterline?

I wouldn’t! Not even for the blackest of black waterline or lashine! And neither would anyone in the right mind, right?

I’ve stressed on the importance of tight lining in several posts – why you should tightline your eyes, tips on tightlining, and how to tightline your eyes. But as much as I love a nice, bold, black waterline, using an eyeliner that causes the demise of precious eyelashes is an intolerable trade-off. If I continued using the Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner, I’d probably be left with none now!

The Prestige Total Intensity Eyeliner in Deepest Black is widely cheered upon as the best dupe for the legendary Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero.

If Words Could Kill, So Could The Korean Clio Professional Waterproof Brush Liner Kill Black

February 14, 2012 by Bun Bun 26 Comments

Had I gotten hold of the Clio Professional Waterproof Kill Black Brush Liner when I first started experimenting with liquid liners, I dare say my adoration for gel liners would have been repressed.

My two greatest regret eyeliner purchases stand ostensibly in the wands of the MAC Liquidlast Liner in Inky and Lancome Artliner because they never fail to make me sigh whenever I try to create miracles with them. Them lying there useless in the corner makes me go ‘tsk’.

One, or two, (okie more than a few) expensive setbacks will not make me throw the towel and swear never to go near liquid eyeliners, as proven by the successful chance acquisition of the Bourjois Glitter Eye Liners. Nevertheless, I’ve become more cautious with buying liquid eyeliners!

I first tried the Clio Waterproof Kill Black Brush Liner at Ngee Ann City Watsons – which has the largest makeup brands and collections at any Watsons in Singapore – and immediately feel in love with it!

I swatched it once, went ‘WOW’, walked away, swatched afain, went ‘OMFG’, walked away, swatched again, and told myself this must be another ‘TGTBT’ (Too Good To Be True) product.

Like a lovelorn teenager nursing a crush, I couldn’t get the Clio Waterproof Brush Liner Kill Black out of my mind.

Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner In 45 Blue Remix For A Wild Night In Town!

February 9, 2012 by Bun Bun 6 Comments

A clubber is one who dances to tuneless techno music and downs alcohol like water, in an environment where shouting is the least you can do to vaguely hear what the other person is saying.

A clubber is also someone who wields a club to club the club-ee.

I’m neither.

The Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner in 45 Blue Remix is perfect for a wild night in town with its metallic blue and oddly, appeals to me greatly.

Easy Eye Makeup Look: Some Glitter Eyeliner, Color On The Lower Lashline, False Eyelashes And You’re Done!

December 16, 2011 by Bun Bun 16 Comments

I haven’t done an eye makeup look so simple in a while.

Ever since I learnt how to use multiple colors, how to blend eyeshadows, how to attack and conquer the Contour Area (Learn to define your Contour Area instead of the Crease), accentuate the Outer V (How to define the Outer V?), and other makeup tips and tricks, I never spot a look without doing at least one of the above.

The other day I was doing a review and swatches of the Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz Eyeliner before going out for dinner with friends. I was running late, so I simply threw on some false eyelashes, swept some green eyeshadow on the lower lash line, popped some falsies on and I was good to go!

A Pencil That Works 3 Ways? Pupa Multiplay Triple Purpose Eye Pencil Could Be The Answer!

December 6, 2011 by Bun Bun 7 Comments

Even when we know certain things can be done in a certain way, it is good to be actually told that it can be done. Like an eyeliner simply stating that it can be used for three purposes.

I mean, who doesn’t know that an eye pencil can be used as kajal, as eyeshadow, and of course, as eyeliner?

I got these Pupa Multiplay Triple Purpose Eye Pencils in 02 and 07 at the BHG Tampines sale recently.

Normally I don’t take a second glance at Pupa, mainly because it is not widely available in the first place – only limited Watsons and SASA stores carry the Pupa brand. Also, Pupa does not have glitzy advertisements to remind consumers of their presence. You know, out of sight, out of mind.
