Dear Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz Eyeliner, You’ve Got To Be The Best Glitter Eyeliner!

November 22, 2011 by Bun Bun 17 Comments

It’s a good thing to put hope in things you’ve never tried before.

When I’ve been lied to many times by eyeliners that promise to be long lasting, pigmented, easy to apply and turn out anything but, along came a little miracle product that makes me want to believe that the world of liquid eyeliners is good again. LOL.

I loved the Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz in 32 Nuit etoilee (Blue) so much I got 31 Star Black (Black) at a sale recently! These are the only 2 colors available in Singapore. I read it comes in Sparkling Green too. Shall not rant.

Great Pigmentation

The Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz eyeliners are the most pigmented glitter eyeliners I’ve ever laid my hands on. The NYX glitter liners don’t cut it and the MAC Glitter Eye Liner pales in comparison.

Just look!

I love that the silver particles are uniformly distributed and there isn’t any bald patch when applied or swatched. That’s not to say that the glitter overwhelms the base, but that the silver glitter bits coast seamlessly atop the sea of color.

If you compare it to a non-glitter eyeliner, Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz is of course less pigmented. However the glitter makes up for it in other ways.

The gorgeous thing about this eyeliner is that it is intense enough to perform on its own – I don’t use any other eyeliner under it – at the same time subtle enough to make people not notice immediately that it has glitter bits.

Then you blink, the light catches the shimmer, and that makes people look twice. ^_^*

Liquid Eyeliner That Dries Fast And Does Not Transfer

Liquid Eyeliner that takes some time to dry – Lancome Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner

Liquid Eyeliner that takes forever to dry – MAC Liquidlast Liner Inky

Liquid Eyeliner that transfers – Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner

It’s probably not fair to compare a glitter liquid eyeliner with normal liquid eyeliners because the consistency of a glitter eyeliner should be less thick.

So here’s comparing the Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz Eyeliners with another glitter liquid eyeliner – MAC Glitter Eye Liner in Glitterpuss

Left to right: Nuit, Black Star, Glitterpuss

The MAC Glitter Liner dries relatively fast, but it does transfer onto the skin above my fold.

Nice Brush Tip

I bought this hoping that it’d a better deal than MAC Liquidlast Liner Inky and it turned out much better than expected! Maybe Inky depressed my expectations for liquid eyeliners.

Anyhow, I am impressed with the eyeliner brush. It doesn’t look the part, especially with what looks like only a few strands of hair that are not tapered at the sides usually required to form a sharp tip for a winged eyeline.

But it works! I can draw a very sharp wing with this Bourjois glitter eyeliner as easily as I can with gel liner (with either Sonia Kashuk Bent Liner Brush or MAC 263). It’s so easy to flick it out. Amaaaaaaaazing!

Long Lasting and Smudgeproof

One thing we all experience with glitter is the accompanying fallout. The Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz must have some really strong adhesive to make all the shimmer bits stay on for a really long time.

I don’t have to worry about unsightly smudged liner marks on my lower eye area nor dried up glitter bits decorating my face.

Great for Everyday Wear

I still dig black eyeliner; I use black 90% of the time. But on days when I want to switch it up a bit, I’ll use blue or purple eyeliner or some other color. The Bourjois Glitter Fizz Nuit etoilee is my go-to blue eyeliner!

Besides, it’s the liquid eyeliner that is the EASIEST to apply. It goes on so smooth despite containing glitter, that it is also my top choice when I’m in a rush for time and gel liners are generally less forgiving that the Bourjois Glitter Fizz eyeliners.

Bun Bun loves the Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz Eyeliner!

This is my favorite glitter eyeliner. What’s yours? =)

That's perfect. Definitely adding this to my shopping list. I used Too Faced Metal-Eye liquid eyeliner. It was a disappointment, because it is super light, although a lot of glitter comes out, and it doesn't stay put perfectly. It's pretty to look at, but it's not pretty to wear because overtime, the glitter will fall out into my eyes or my tear duct. But just hearing about this. I have to try this.

The blue liner actually look nice. I always try to stay away from glitter liners I don't know why, but these are really pretty :D x0x0
