Easy Eye Makeup Look: Some Glitter Eyeliner, Color On The Lower Lashline, False Eyelashes And You’re Done!

December 16, 2011 by Bun Bun 18 Comments

I haven’t done an eye makeup look so simple in a while.

Ever since I learnt how to use multiple colors, how to blend eyeshadows, how to attack and conquer the Contour Area (Learn to define your Contour Area instead of the Crease), accentuate the Outer V (How to define the Outer V?), and other makeup tips and tricks, I never spot a look without doing at least one of the above.

The other day I was doing a review and swatches of the Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz Eyeliner before going out for dinner with friends. I was running late, so I simply threw on some false eyelashes, swept some green eyeshadow on the lower lash line, popped some falsies on and I was good to go!

Sometimes, the simplest of things shock us with their beauty.

This is a dynamic look hidden behind a veil of subtlety. You can absolutely do without the falsies during the day or opt for a less dramatic pair.

This look would have looked less stunning with only mascara though. False eyelashes bring instant WOW to any eye makeup look.

So here’s the super simple tutorial:

EYES
Eyeliner – Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz Eyeliner
Lower Lash Line – Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow Midori
Inner Corner – Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow Tako
False Eyelashes – Some Taiwanese brand

FACE

Foundation – Lancome Lancôme Maqui Blanc Miracle Natural Brightening Creator Liquid Foundation SPF 26 BO-01
Blush – Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Blush

LIPS

Lip Balm – Estee Lauder Lip Conditioner SPF 15

Lipgloss - Yves Saint Laurent Touche Brilliance Sparkling Touch For Lips Glamorous Red #11

Bun Bun’s Makeup Tip: Because the eyes are not adorned with a rainbow of colors, you can add some shine and sparkle to the lips without running the risk of both places fighting for attention.

What’s your go-to makeup look when you are in a rush for time?

Hi bun bun! I've been reading a few of your articles here and some of your tips are great :) I'm dying to try this glittery eyeliner now.

You should write up a contouring tut. Personally,  I find contouring makes a big difference on asians. :) xx

@saskiayu Thank you for reading my articles and commenting! I appreciate having my readers interacting with me. =)

I actually do have a contouring tutorial. Here it is: http://bunbunmakeuptips.com/eyeshadow-tutorial-for-asian-eyes-part-4-defining-the-contour-area/

Yup, I think contouring's really important too. It's not easy to understand and execute in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, it's addictive coz you really can see how contouring adds depth to the eyes. ^_^

You can always start with blue or purple! They're a refreshing twist to the typical black or brown! =D

Oooo this works SUPER well with your circle lenses! VERY nice! I've always been skittish about blue eyeliner (or anything blue for that matter), because I'm really pretty warm-toned. You pull it of SO well though! The highlight in the inner corners also works magic :) And really? You got the false eyelashes in Taiwan? They've been SO popular recently. This summer when I went back I had the impression that everyone was wearing at least 5 pairs. A bit scary to be honest!

It does! :D That pair's grey, I'm now on a new pair of green. Colored contact lenses are so much fun. Rather expensive though! Me too! I used to stick to black and brown but later on realized that blue works really well with brown/black eyes actually! You should try some blue liner. I thought falsies have ALWAYS been in fashion in Taiwan. When I was there in Feb, every girl on the streets was wearing them. And that could be the only thing they wear on the eyes. No eyeshadow, no mascara, no contour, no nothing. Just black eyeliner and false eyelashes. LOL! I totally get your point about the 5 pairs. Some wear overly thick ones. I watched a Taiwanese variety show before and a guest speaker said she combines at least 3 lashes to get the volume. I can't imagine having that weight on my lashes. Those that are just slightly thicker already make my eyes super tired, imagine 3 pairs!!! >.

That is one simple and gorgeous eye makeup! It looks amazingly beautiful on you! I am so gonna create this look, thank you for sharing. By the way, is the Bourjois Liner Glitter Fizz Eyeliner available in Singapore? I heard raves about the gel foundation and I'm planning to get it when I'm heading there next week.

Thanks Angel! =) Yes, I bought them in Singapore. Bourjois counters can be found in BHG stores, some Watsons stores, and some Guardian stores. Are you referring to the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation? Yup, it is highly raved. I got the Healthy Mix Foundation instead though coz the serum gel foundation has lighter coverage and I need more than that. Haha
