Makeup Haul: Inglot, Clio, BeautySoClean, Halloween Makeup

October 21, 2012 by Bun Bun 18 Comments

When was the last time I did a post on a makeup haul? Let me see…. Hurk! My Okinawa trip in April! That’s 8 months ago!

Obviously it’s not because I haven’t bought any new makeup from then till now (how is that possible?!), it’s more like my postings cannot keep up with the speed of purchasing. HAHAHA

A couple of weeks ago my friends proposed going to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and I was SO excited to go because I wanted to get me some Inglot! I’ve been dying to get my hands on Ingot products since it opened a store in City Square in March! The City Square branch is the third store in Malaysia, with the other two in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

When we reached City Square after lunch, I told my two friends, who’re both guys, to go get some coffee and give me an hour. Just one hour! Lol! And then I ran into the store and had a swatch feast.

This was the second batch, I’d already wiped off the first batch and without realizing, used up the entire arm again. HAHA! The entire arm was covered, front to back, top to tips.

The gel liners are AWESOME! So very pretty and pigmented and smooth and creammmyyy!!! And I love that they come in bright, happy colors! I got 82, 77, 72, 87.

I also got 4 eyeshadows: AMC Shine 30, AMC Shine 15, AMC 59, and Matte 385. And 1 lipstick (231) and 1 lip liner (60).

I went on a week day so there were very few people in the mall, must less the Ingot store, so I had plenty of space to move around and had very attentive service from the MUA.

The lipstick is super pretty! Brightens up my face and the staying power is WOOHOO!!

The boys came to pick me up in an hour but I wasn’t done and it was funny seeing them intrigued by everything on the shelves. I could only buy that much because I had wayyyy exceeded my budget. Total damage = RM420

You get the hot red cosmetics pouch for free if you spend over RM300 in a bill. I love the color and material and am bringing it with me on my Guangzhou trip!

And not too long ago my friend went to Korea and I told her to get all the remaining colors of Clio Gelpresso pencils gel liner I didn’t own. These pencils are amazing! So beautiful, long-lasting and smudge proof. If I’m not wrong, Singapore does not have the 4 matte shades of orange, lime green, bright blue and gold. I’ve even heard that some stores have pulled the pencils off our shelves. I don’t know why!

The stores in Korea are SO generous. They always give out samples of masks and skin care products and throw in more if you make a purchase. Their food marts also offer such generous portions of samples you can complete a meal with just one round of the entire mart. Sometimes the food samples in Singapore are so tiny I really only taste my own tongue. Lol.

The other 3 items – BeautySoClean Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist, liquid latex and fake blood were thrown into the picture because I bought them recently.

I’m so excited! Halloween’s in a week!

(Shall not reveal my costume yet! But it’s going to be COOOOOL!!!! Heh heh!)

What are some of your favorite Inglot products? If I’ve got your curiosity piqued with this haul post, go get yourself some Inglot! HAHA! Traveling to JB from my house takes a shorter time than if I were to go to, say, Pioneer.

Haha, recently my mother and my sister went to Korea. I asked them to buy the Clio Black Liquid Eyeliner (my new love thanks to you!) and they came back with the gel liners too! They were in a metal tin box of 5 minis eyeliners. Thank goodness they were minis, i doubt i can finish them all! And on top of the full-sized blue one that I got, looks like I gotta get my hands on the remaining!

Which brings me to my suggestion: PLEASE show us the swatches and available colours of the gel expresso pencil eyeliners!!!

@orqngefirefly It makes me incredibly happy when my readers tell me they love something that I love very much as well! Gah! I didn't think they had minis! I doubt I can finish mine either. I've never really used a pencil until it became too short to use.

Okie! I'll definitely show them! I just came back from 2 overseas trips (one after another) and brought some of them along to try. SUPER AWESOME. *faints*

I was so waiting for your inglot reviews. I've heard so many great reviews about them except from BunBun. I want to try them now especially since I heard that it's better and cheaper than MAC.

@r0s13y0u Hahaha I lol-ed at the 'except from BunBun'. I'd love to do a review on them soon! The gel liners are really good and the eyeshadows have worked beautifully. Some beauty bloggers who have been in the community for many, many years claim that Inglot is like MAC back then, before the company decided to dilute their stuff. *shrugs* I haven't been a MAC user long enough to compare but I'd say Inglot is definitely more reasonably priced and the quality has proven itself positive so far.

@BunBunMakeupTips  @r0s13y0u Hey BunBun what do you mean by Inglot decided to dilute their stuff?

r0s13y0u
r0s13y0u 5pts

@BunBunMakeupTips @r0s13y0u OMGosh! So embarassing. Stupid autocorrect. That's what I get for having a "smartphone" smarter than me. I meant "especially" not "except"...sorry BunBun ;) I came to check what numbers you got from inglot. So hard to remember all of the numbers. I wished they would name the colors instead.

@r0s13y0u   LOL! You're so cute! Yeah, I wished they would name their stuff with words instead of numbers. I guess they just didn't wanna waste time coming up with creative names or clash with those from other companies?

OMGGGG.

Your arm! so colorful!! LOL

Clio all colors? WOW. I asked my sister's friend who's NOW on the trip to Korea to buy me a Clio Gelpresso, mainly because I'm inspired by you >///<. I wanna try the same color as yours first, Choco ..(what? I can't remember the name LOL). I'm afraid that I'm going to be obsessed with it and has to buy more later (like you! HAHA)

And please let me know your result of Inglot gel liners later LOL. I haven't ever heard its name before, so it must be extremely hard to find in Bangkok T^T.

@BAMBIx Dark Choco!!! You will definitely LOVE it! I've been testing out all the colors and ohmygoodness I'm in loveeee!! Haha!!

Yup, I've been trying out the Inglot gel liners too! Too many eye products to try at once! HOHO! So happy! ^_^*

Oh yea, I just checked. There isn't a store in BKK, not in Thailand at all. We need friends all over the world!!!

@BunBunMakeupTips I'm sad Juli. She didn't buy me a clio. She said she can't find a store and she didn't have time. :( Super sad. Whyyyyyyy. btw I still have some choice thanks to all the Korean makeup seller on the internet. But it's around 100 baht more expensive (approximately 3 US$). Maybe because Clio is not popular among Thais, unlike Etude and Skinfood, so there is much margin haha.

Inglot. Hmmm... Never heard of it. Something like Sephora perhaps? Your blog entry came at the right time! Thank you very much. I've a few hundreds worth of RM. Guess it's time to make a trip to City Square!!! ^^

BunBunMakeupTips

@dreamyc81 Nope, Sephora doesn't carry Inglot. But YAY for you to go spend your RM on Inglot! Better go on a weekday afternoon. When I left the store in the early evening, the store started getting more crowded. =)

@dreamyc81 ...I went on their website but unfortunately they don't carry that brand at Sephora. ;( Really want to try them. Can't wait for Julie's tutorials using Inglot!

@r0s13y0u  Thanks love! I hope you get to try them soon too!

(It's Juli without the 'e', by the way. hehe)

Yay for happy colours! Gosh, I definitely want to visit Korea now, you make it sound like it's a great place to be! I ador Inglot too btw, but there is no store in this country so I have to travel all the way to the next country. I totally had the same thing going on there, swatchfest on both arms and running around like a mad woman, haha!

BunBunMakeupTips
BunBunMakeupTips moderator 5pts

@BellaChique The last time I visited Korea was almost a decade ago! I'd love to make a trip back. My friend said once you step out of the airport you'll see plastic surgery clinics everywhere. It's so common it's become a lunchtime thing.

Did you get the Inglot liners? They're amaaaaazing!
