Makeup Haul: Murad, MUFE, KOSE, Revlon, L’Oreal, The Brush Guard, e.l.f

April 8, 2011 by Bun Bun Leave a Comment

It’s amazing how these little bags of goodies can lift the spirits of a tired soul or make a happy person even happier. That’s why shopping is so addictive, especially online shopping! You never know the EXACT date the Happy Bag will arrive and the wait for parcel delivery is just so exciting!

Top row:

- Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15
- Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation in No. 30
- KOSE Whitening Black Mask
- Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Buff

Bottom row:

- L’Oreal HIP Chrome Eyeliner in Violet Volt
– L’Oreal HIP Chrome Eyeliner in Silver Lighting
- e.l.f Complexion Brush
- MAC Eyeshader Brush #239
- L’Oreal HIP Bright Shadow Duo in Showy
- L’Oreal HIP Metallic Shadow Duo in Platinum
- The Brush Guard Variety Pack

I got my friend who was coming back from the US to get me the Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 and Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation in No. 30 coz they’re much cheaper over there. Makeup products at Sephora Singapore can easily cost S$10 more. I can’t wait to test the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation. Really hope Buff will suit my skintone better than Sand Beige.

5 Differences Between Silicone Face Primer, Lotion Face Primer, and Cream Face Primer

March 14, 2011 by Bun Bun 12 Comments

I  have extreeeemmely oily skin so without a primer my face would be all oily and gross like 2 hours after I’m done with my makeup. Before face primers, I had to blot twice a day. I know, I know, over-blotting actually induces the skin to produce more oil. But the amount of oil on my face could save the global crisis ! I swear you can see your reflection on my cheeks if I don’t blot mid-day.

And then I got introduced to the makeup world and *throws confetti into the air!* got to know about face primers!

Make Up For Ever – HD Microperfecting Primer #5 (Blue) Review

March 11, 2011 by Bun Bun Leave a Comment

The MAKE UP FOREVER HD Microperfecting Primer was reviewed on a popular Taiwanese variety show that invites makeup artists to share beauty and makeup tips with artistes. When the makeup artist applied it on one of the invited guests, her skin instantly went from dull to bright right after applying the Make Up For Ever – HD microperfecting primer #5.

I was like OMFGIHAVETOGETTHIS!

I would have glistening skin and my face would be so smooth flies could slide down. All my skin woes would be over and I could finally live happily ever after.

5 Best Face Makeup Primers For Oily Skin

March 8, 2011 by Bun Bun 10 Comments

The most important factors I take into consideration when deciding on a suitable face primer for oily skin like mine are:

- Ability to hold foundation and makeup for long hours
- Does not feel greasy
- Does not cause foundation to oxidize

In no particular order, here are the 5 best facial makeup primers for oily skin.
