The basic rule is that if your outfit of the day is colorful or outstanding in some way or other, eye makeup should be kept to be a minimum – at least with the colors used – so that the different elements do not contest against one another.
That’s what I normally adhere to, but you see,
“In all matters of creativity, rules are meant to be broken when necessary.” – Haley Langford

And……. it’s the first few minutes of Chinese New Year! Spring Cleaning was completed earlier this year, that’s why I have a little time to create this post.
Here’re some pictures I took on Thursday during our annual family trip to Chinatown to soak in the atmosphere!
Back to the topic on colorful stuff, I really love that asymmetrical rainbow dress! I tied a thin red belt at the hip to create loose folds and wore taupe wedges to match. The outstanding eye makeup colors completed the whole look!
Would you match colorful eye makeup with colorful clothing?
