If You Don’t Mind A Big Fat Wand, The Loreal Ultra Volume Collagene Mascara Makes For A Very Good Mascara!

June 8, 2012 by Bun Bun 2 Comments

Remember the time when I threw out ten mascaras at once? Afterwards I was left with just about seven mascaras, liked three or four of them, but only really used one – the Lancome Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Powermascara. And even that was drying out on me. If you follow the ‘Law of Mascara Use’, which states to throw out mascaras every 3-6 months, the Oscillation was close to decay. Lol.

I exhausted the Lancome Oscillation Mascara and when it breathed its last, I had no choice but to go out and get a new mascara. I would have been more excited to go mascara-shopping if not for the fact that I was waiting for my Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara to arrive and was certain that every Lancome-owned mascara would be unconquerable. Was.

We’ll keep that ‘was’ for another time, okie?

The L’Oreal Ultra Volume Collagene Mascara normally retails for S$24.90, but it was on sale for S$15.90 I think? And then I used my Watsons points and got it for just S$11.90! YAY savings!

My Current Holy Grail Mascara – Lancome Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Powermascara

September 21, 2011 by Bun Bun 12 Comments

Different products really do work very differently for everyone.

When I was doing research on the Lancome Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Powermascara to see if people love this mascara as much as I do, I chanced upon many, many negative reviews about this mascara.

The Lancome Oscillation Vibrating Infinite PowerMascara is one of the best mascaras I have ever used, yet I see people on MUA slaughtering it with the most terrible of opinions based on personal experience.

When I read through the negative things said about the Lancome mascara, I immediately associated those remarks with other less outstanding mascaras, like the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Waterproof Bold Volume Lifting Mascara (which many people like, but didn’t work for me) – unable to hold a curl, or the Pop Beauty mascara – thick, gooey, clumpy, or other mascaras that failed to make it to the back of my memory.

But certainly not the Lancome Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Powermascara! This is definitely Holy Grail. I have been using it dilligently almost every day since I got it 2 months ago.

Gimmicky Vibration or Real Lash Booster?

I don’t know about you, but I get such a real kick out of putting something vibrating at my lashes. Terrifying at first, yes, but there is very little possibility that you will end up electrocuting  yourself and poking your eyes with the vibrating mascara wand.

The BEST Smudgeproof And Waterproof Mascara – Anna Sui Super Black Volume Up Mascara

March 22, 2011 by Bun Bun 23 Comments

Anna Sui’s motto has always been to ‘Live Your Dream’, and this wonderful Anna Sui Super Black Volume Up Mascara has indeed fulfilled my dream of having lustrous and thick eyelashes. When I realized my first tube of this amazing mascara was almost drying up, I had a tiny panic attack! The very next day I went shopping with my girlfriends and promptly bought another tube. Find out why this is a can’t-live-without mascara!

Full and Thick Eyelashes

Who doesn’t? This mascara gives my eyelashes the volume and oomph I’ve been looking for for a long time. My eyelashes are of acceptable length but I wish they could be thicker. With the Anna Sui Super Black Volume Up Mascara, ONE coat is all I need to thicken them. I also use #001, which is a SUPER BLACK black color to give the illusion of even thicker lashes.

My eyelashes tend to look a little spidery right after application (as with most mascaras), but once they settle, they look naturally thick and full. When I wear this, I often have friends asking me if I were wearing false eyelashes. ^_^*
